America's Boating Course Class Schedule - Spring 2011
04/14/11 - The course content has been developed in conjunction with state boating safety agencies responsible for boater education, is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), and is recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard.
You will receive:
A 244 Page full-color book, comprehensive boating information, and introduction to navigation
Animated, narrated home- study CD
Digital charting DVD with software and all United States charts
After passing the proctored exam you will receive New York State and United States Power Squadron Boating Safety Certification and:
Six months free membership in USPS which enables you to:
Attend member meetings, dinners and parties at the Northport Yacht Club
Attend picnics and parties throughout the Summer
Participate in Squadron boating activities and raft-ups at our mooring in Lloyd Harbor
Receive discounts on boating insurance and supplies
Starting May 4th at the Britannia Yachting Center
Classes are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM for six weeks. Please call to pre-register (631-824-7128). Registration is on May 4th from 6:30 to 7:00 PM.
Cost: $55.00 ($50 for those 10 to 16 years of age.)
Accelerated Course at the Huntington Library (Starting May 21st)
Earn your NYS Boating Safety Certificate on two Saturdays!
Saturday, May 21st 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM and
Saturday June 4th, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Register at the Huntington Library or call (631-824-7128).
Cost: $55.00 ($50 for those 10 to 16 years of age.)
