Sail Course – Introduction to Sailing for the Non-Sailor

January 2nd, 2019 – To kick off the 2019 boating season, Neptune Boating Club is offering a comprehensive Sail course starting Monday, February 4th, 2019. Learn all about basic sailboat designs, nomenclature, rigging, and safety taught by experienced local sailors from America’s Boating Club! Then tackle the physical aspects of sailing forces and techniques, sail applications, marlinespike, helmsmanship, and handling of difficult sailing conditions. This course will benefit non-sailors as well as novice and experienced sailors. Sail is usually accomplished in nine two-hour sessions, followed by a closed book exam.
